datatype()

Examples


The datatype() function returns the data type associated with a field. This is especially useful for anonymous fields.

Syntax

datatype({field} fieldname)

Parameters

fieldname – The name of the field whose data type you want to retrieve.

Return value

An integer corresponding to one of the following constants:
