You can distribute the call list or campaign targets to the employee who is registered as the main contact for the business relation. This ensures that all targets from a business relation are associated with an employee who is responsible for that business relation.

If the business relation does not have a registered main contact, the target is not updated.

For some customers, the employees are given special responsibilities associated with a business relation. For instance, one employee might be the overall account manager for the business relation, while another might be responsible for coordinating all marketing plans, and yet another might be responsible for service agreements.

You can distribute the call list or campaign targets by responsibility to the employees who are associated with the business relation. This ensures that the targets are contacted by the employee who usually is responsible for a certain area or activity, such as sales contacts or service agreements.

If the business relation does not have an employee registered for the selected responsibility, the target is not updated.

You can distribute the call list or campaign targets to selected employees, regardless of who is responsible for the business relation, contact, or activity.

You might consider distributing the call list or campaign targets if a large and general marketing push is planned.

You can distribute targets to selected employees manually by selecting the responsible employees directly from the list in the Responsible employeefield for all the listed targets, or by using the Distribution query in the Responsibilities distributionform.

Note
Only targets with no responsible employees (undistributed targets) are updated when distributing employees to the targets. If you want the entire list of campaign or call list targets to be updated, you must first clear the entire distribution by selecting Distribute.
