When you want to be able to analyze financial performance, you budget on transactions and total amounts using a flexible budget.

In the form, all cost categories, service categories, and cost lines are displayed automatically according to the cost category setup done in the form. The same applies to dimensions. If specific dimensions are set up in the dimension setup in the form, only these dimensions are displayed. If not, you can select all dimensions.

You first fill in the and fields, and then you can plan amounts for the whole year or plan a specific amount for each period.

You enter annual cost category amounts in the section, column. The amounts are automatically split up in 12 partial amounts for each month. If a is set up in the form, the amounts are split up according to the key.

To plan individual amounts per month, you enter amounts in the columns of the month in the section. Click to summarize monthly values into the section. Be aware that this is not done automatically.

This also applies to a service category or a cost line. You enter annual amounts in the column and individual amounts in the specific columns of the month.

The following is guidance for using each of the planning tabs:

  1. If planning on cost categories, first specify the (either , , or , and then enter plan values for cost categories.

    If there is a for a proportional dependency of another cost line in the form, you cannot enter amounts manually for those cost categories.


  2. Click to perform the calculation after entering plan values.

  3. Click to display cost balances.

Budgeting on service categories works almost exactly as cost categories except that you do not have to select the field. Depending on the type of service category, there is a difference in budgeting. Planning on service categories of the type is identical to cost categories because transactions are always single-entry (debit). Service categories of the type have double-entry transactions and are marked blue. You cannot plan on them directly. You enter the quantity in the lower pane of the form, which is the debit transaction. The credit transaction is created automatically in the upper pane.

If planning on cost lines again, specify the .You can only plan on the cost lines if the check box is selected for this cost line in the > form. When you select this check box, all cost categories included in the cost line are blocked and become the color blue. If the check box is cleared, you can only plan on cost or service categories. In this case, the relevant cost line is blocked and becomes the color green.
