You can create item requirements for service orders if you must have specific items for the service orders.
By using an item requirement instead of an item transaction, you can plan for delivery just before the item is actually used, create a purchase order, include the item in the trade agreement framework, and include the item requirement in production planning.
Item requirements for service orders are processed through a project, and to create an item requirement on a service order the service order must be attached to a project.
View item requirements created on service orders
As soon as an item requirement is created for a service order, it can be viewed from in the individual service order or through the form.

In the form, click the tab, and check the field to see the service orders of the item requirements.
Cancel service orders with item requirements
If an item requirement is created on a service order, you cannot cancel the service order. You have to delete the item requirement so that you can cancel the service order.

If an item requirement is created on a service order, you cannot delete the service order. You have to delete the item requirement so that you can delete the service order.
Delete an item requirement

Click . The form opens and lists all item requirements that are created on the service order.

In the form, select the item requirement that you want to delete, and press Alt+F9.

In the form, select the project with the service order where an item requirement is created.

Click , and select the submenu item . The form is opens and lists the item requirements that are associated with the selected project.
