The service journal is used to create and post the service transactions. Before you enter and post the service transactions, you must create the cost journal by using one of the journal names created in Cost accounting> Setup> Journal namesform.

1. Click Cost accounting> Journals> Service transactions.

2. Press CTRL+N to create a new line, and then select the appropriate journal name in the Namefield.

3. Click Lines.

4. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

5. Enter all information about the transaction.

6. Press CTRL+N to create additional lines.

7. Click Validateand then Validateto validate the transactions.

8. Click Postand then Postto post the transactions.

With this journal, you can only post service transactions. To create cost transactions, use the Cost transactionsform.
