-
Fill out appropriate fields for batch/serial number creation, making sure to select under on the tab.
Now, when items are received or issued, batch/serial numbers do not have to be filled out, and they are not automatically assigned. They can be filled out in the form using the , or button on a received transaction.
Note |
---|
At this point, transactions can be recalculated. Click to adjust and update cost values on the issue immediately. All open transactions for the item are recalculated. We recommend that you use the function only periodically, as transaction volume requires. |
Splitting transactions
Transactions with settled quantities are locked, and thus cannot be edited or marked. Split settled transactions into one transaction for the settled quantity, and another for the unsettled quantity. Now inventory dimensions can be edited for the unsettled quantity transaction.
Note |
---|
There are no checks on items entered on the form. Consequently, there is potential for problems to arise if they are not handled properly. For example, multiple items with the same serial number can be sold. As a result, we recommend that access to this feature be limited to inventory managers and the like. - When running the recalculation directly from the form, all open transactions on the item are recalculated. Performance decreases when there are large numbers of open transactions. As a result, we recommend that you periodically close the inventory.- On-hand inventory is not checked in this form. This means that items can be moved causing negative inventory situations. |
