You can copy notes and document references from one record to one or more other records. For example, you can:

Copy an important note from one sales order to another sales order.

Copy an important note from a sales order to an inventory transaction.

Copy a document reference from one customer to several other customers.
Copy a note from one record to another

Select a record with the note or document reference that you want to copy.

On the Commandmenu, click .

On the form, select the note to be copied.

Click > .

With the form still open, select the record that you want to copy the note to.

In the form, click > .
Note You can copy notes and document references to any other record in any other form. Just open the second form, select a record, and then click > on the form.
Copy a note from one record to several other records

Select a record with the note or document reference that you want to copy.

On the Commandmenu, select .

In the form, select the note to be copied.

Click > .

To copy the note to several records, do one of the following:

To select nonadjacent records in the active form, click one record, click and hold down the CTRL key, and then click each additional record.

To select adjacent records in the active form, click the first record in the sequence, click and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the last record.
