You can manage your alert rules and update details of individual rules in the form. Access this form in the following ways:

On the Microsoft Dynamics AXmenu, click Tools> .

Click > > > .

Create an alert rule. When you open the form, the form opens in the background. For more information about creating alert rules, see Create alert rules.
Enable or disable rules
Rules are enabled by default when you create them. If you disable a rule, no more alerts will be triggered by this rule.

To enable or disable an alert rule, select the appropriate rule, and then select or clear the check box.
Delete rules

Select the rule that you want to delete, and then press ALT+F9. You will be asked whether you want to delete the alerts that have been generated by this rule.
Filter or sort rules

Press CTRL+G.

On the new line, click the filter icon.

Select a sorting criterion.

Edit rules

Select the alert rule that you want to edit in the form. You can edit the following information:

Set an end date, a new end date, or no end date in the section. For more information, see End date and no end date options.

Clear the check box to disable the alert rule.

Change the subject text in the field, or change the message in the field.

Select the or the check box to change the way that alerts generated by the current rule are delivered.

Select an option in the field next to the field to change the time of the event if the type of event is or .

If you change the due date in an alert rule after you receive an alert based on this rule, you will be asked whether you want to be alerted about records that you have already been alerted about. |
Example
You have a rule that produces an alert when the delivery date of a specific purchase order is due in 20 days. You receive an alert for the purchase order 20 days before the delivery date.
If you then change the rule to produce an alert seven days before the delivery date of the purchase order, you will be asked whether you want to be alerted again.
