Use this procedure to create an item allocation key and to create item allocation lines.

1. Click Inventory management> Setup> Forecast> Item allocation keys .

2. On the Overviewtab, press CTRL+N to create a new item allocation key.

3. Enter an identifier for the key, and enter a name for it. The name could be the relevant item group, for example.

4. Click Linesto open the Lines form.

5. Select the item number and any applicable inventory dimensions, and enter the percentage of the total aggregate forecast quantity that you want to allocate to the item.

   Note
   The total percentage that you allocate may exceed 100 percent.
