Use these procedures to set up the request for quote functionality.
Set up request for quote parameters
Use this procedure to define default values for requests for quotes. The default values are copied to the form when users create requests for quotes.

On the tab, specify default values for requests for quotes, such as purchase type, expiry date information, delivery information, payment terms, and trade agreement journal. For more information about the parameters, see Accounts payable parameters (form).

Click to selects the fields that you want to apply as default reply fields when requesting request for quote replies from vendors. For more information, see Define a request for quote reply

Click to specify how to update request for quote lines automatically when the request for quote header is modified.
Set up reason codes for requests for quotes
Use this procedure to define reason codes for use when accepting and rejecting request for quote replies. Reason codes are also used when calculating request for quote statistics.

Enter a name in the field and a description in the field.
Define form setup for requests for quotes
Use this procedure to define the format of information about documents related to requests for quotes.

Set up a master plan to include requests for quotes
Use this procedure to set up a master plan to include requests for quotes.
For requests for quotes with the type of purchase order, inventory transactions with the receipt status are created when request for quote lines are created. includes request for quote lines that have inventory transactions with the status when calculating supplies. If there are no inventory transactions for a request for quote line, does not consider the request for quote line as a supply.
