You can create an item of the type BOM and create different versions of the BOM.

1. Click Inventory management> Item details .

2. Press CTRL+N to create a new line, and then select BOMin the Item typefield.

3. Select the new record, and then click BOM> Lines.

4. In the BOM lineform, click Create BOMto create a new BOM. Enter an identifier for the BOM in the Descriptionfield. This step creates a BOM type item and a BOM version.

5. To enter BOM lines manually, select items in the Item numberfield on the Overviewtab.

   You can also click Functions> Copyto select an existing BOM and to copy the lines to the new BOM.

6. Enter dates in the From dateand To datefields to control the validity period of the BOM version. Use the From qty.field to set a minimum quantity for using the BOM version.

7. Click Approveto approve the new BOM and the BOM version.

8. Select the Activecheck box to make the BOM version active.

9. To create a new version of the existing BOM, click CTRL+N in the Versionsgrid. This step creates a new line.

10. Select the relevant BOM number, and use the From date, To dateand From qty.fields to distinguish this version from other versions.

11. Click Approveto approve the BOM version.

12. Select the Activecheck box to make the BOM version active.
