After you have created alert rules, you can create templates based on these rules. If you have not yet created alert rules, see Create alert rules.

Note Note

When creating titles for company account templates, remember that all template titles are visible when a user creates a new alert rule, including titles of alert rule templates that User group permissions do not allow the current user to access. For example, avoid using titles that include words like "commission" if not all users are supposed to know that some employees in the company have a commission-based salary.


Create an alert rule template

  1. Click Microsoft Dynamics AXmenu > Tools> .

  2. In the form on the tab, right-click the rule that you want to base the template on and select .

  3. In the form, click .

  4. Type a description of the template in the field, and click OK.

    The templates that you create are available for all users who have access to the current company account.

Delete an alert rule template

  1. Click > > .

  2. Select the Rule line on the tab and click the tab.

  3. Select a template and press ALT+F9 to delete it.

Edit an alert rule template

  1. Click > > .

  2. Select the Rule line on the tab and click the tab.

  3. Select the template that you want to edit, and click .

Editing the template affects only the template and not any rules that the user has created that are based on that template.
