Use this form to create or edit operations on the route. Operations are defined as a series of discrete tasks that have to be performed in some kind of sequence in order to produce an item. Operations must be set up for each route you create. Because multiple operations linked in sequence constitute an operation network, and multiple operation networks constitute a production route, all data that is specified for the operation will automatically pertain to the route.
What you should know before setting up an operation
-
Know which task or activity must be completed.
-
Know the order of the processes and the operation priority.
-
Know which and how many work centers are needed to perform the operation.
You must create work center groups and their associated work centers before you set up the operations, because operations are dependent on the existence of work centers.
