Use this form to reclassify a fixed asset group or fixed asset number from a specific date, or to change the number sequence code of a fixed asset group. For example, reclassify all of the assets in the "Fixed assets in construction" fixed asset group to the "Fixed assets" group.

If you do not reclassify a fixed asset or a fixed asset group on the last day of a depreciation period, you must create an adjustment. You also might need to create an adjustment if a value model for the original fixed asset or fixed asset group has a provision type.

Reclassification information will be displayed on reports, such as the . Before you print the , however, you must include the new fixed asset in the definition of the fixed asset lines in the form.

When you print the after reclassifying a fixed asset, a column displays the identification of the fixed asset from earlier in that fiscal year and the historical acquisition cost.
