If you select the Bar code equals fixed asset numbercheck box in the General ledger parametersform, the bar code number is set to the fixed asset number automatically. Bar codes also can be assigned to a fixed asset group in the Fixed asset groups form.

If you do not select the Bar code equals fixed asset numbercheck box, or if you select it after fixed assets have been created, you must assign fixed asset numbers to bar codes in the Assign fixed asset number to bar code form.
