Use this form to check detailed information about all work center jobs. You can reschedule the process sequence and adjust day-to-day operations on each of the work centers. You can only schedule one job for each production.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Description

Overview tab

View jobs running on the selected work center and the most important information associated with each one.

This includes the production that the job is attached to, the job type (the kind of work the job carries out), the job status, and the scheduled start and end dates.

General tab

View or enter values for the selected job, including identifying information about the production and operation, the work center that is scheduled to execute the job, and the type of work that the job carries out.

You can also view or make changes to the relationship between the current job and the subsequent job, the current status of the job, and whether scheduling was canceled or locked.

Change the scheduled job execution. Select the job and click or to change when it will be executed in the schedule. Finalize the job schedule by clicking Schedule.

View the jobs that are attached to the selected production. These jobs are generated when you run the job scheduling process.

View the planned production route for the current transaction.

View the materials that are consumed by the operation associated with the selected job.

Fields

Description

This field indicates which production the job is attached to.

Identify the job in a unique manner.

This field displays the type of work (or job) that is to be carried out. The options are:

  • - Waiting for the next operation to be started.

  • - Clears a work center before the operation is started.

  • - Runs the execution of the operation.

  • -Starts before the prior job is finished.

  • - Transfers the items to the next location, such as the next work center, the production route or into stock.

  • - Waits after the operation is finished and before the next operation can start.

This field displays the work center property that is required for the execution of the job on this . If you leave this field blank, it means that the job does not require any special properties from the work center to execute.

Job status can contain one of the following values:

  • - displayed until the job starts.

  • - displayed if the job stops temporarily.

  • - displayed if the job stops.

  • - displayed when the job begins.

  • - displayed when the operation or production is reported as finished. The job status can be changed to Ended by using the job journal, route journal, or reporting-as-finished.

This field shows the scheduled start date for the job. This date is determined in connection with and .

This field displays the scheduled start time for the job. The time is determined in connection with .

This field displays the scheduled end date for the job. The date is determined in connection with and .

This field specifies the scheduled end time for the job. The time is established in connection with

This field indicates which production the job is attached to.

This field displays the for the connected production route.

This field shows the priority for the production route. Priority can be or in a range from 1 to 5.

This field shows the priority for the production route. The type can be or 1-5.

This field indicates which will execute the job. is selected from the work center defined on the production route.

This field displays the work center property that is required for the execution of the job on this . If you leave this field blank, it indicates that the job requires no special properties of the work center.

Specifies the link that the job was created with. A link tells how the current job is tied to the subsequent job. The following options exist:

  • - There is no link to the next job.

  • - The job must start at the same time the next job starts.

  • - The job must end at the same time the next job ends.

  • - The job must end at the same time the next job starts.

  • - The job must start at the same time the next job ends.

Note Note

When the link type is , the times are precisely the same. When the link type is , there may be a time gap between the first and second job. In other words, the next job can start later than the link specifies.


Example

Examples of possible combinations of link type and link:

  • and - Used between operations.

  • and - Used between setup job and process job.

  • and - Used between several work centers in the same operation.

  • and - Used for secondary operations.

This field indicates the attachment type. The field can have the following values:

  • - Indicates that the job may be placed later than what the attachment defines.

  • - Indicates that the following job must be placed as what the attachment defines.

Identify the job in a unique manner.

This field indicates whether records can be made on jobs using job recording.

If the current job is canceled on the schedule, the field is marked.

If this field is marked, the job will not be rescheduled. This means it can not be moved when job scheduling is run again. You can use this feature to protect items where delivery times have been fixed.

Calculated time.

Specify planned work center time in hours.
