Use this form to control items that are quarantined, for example items that are quarantined because of quality control. You can create quarantine orders manually or Microsoft Dynamics AX can create them automatically. To see the finished orders, select the check box.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

View a list of quarantine orders.

General tab

View and edit detailed descriptions of the quarantine order selected on the tab.

View and edit inventory and quarantine dimensions information for the selected order.

Buttons

Button

Description

Start current or selected quarantine orders.

Report current or selected quarantine orders as finished. The item is released from quarantine but not yet moved back to the normal warehouse.

End current or selected quarantine orders. The item is moved from the quarantine warehouse back to the normal warehouse.

Open a submenu with the following items:

  • - Divide a quarantine order into several transactions. A dialog box appears where you specify the amount you want to move to a new order.

  • - A dialog box appears where you specify the quarantine order to be scrapped.

Open a submenu with the following items:

  • - Open the Transactionsform to view the item's inventory transactions.

  • - View on-hand inventory for the current item by dimension.

  • - Open the Lotform to query receipt and issue transactions for the same lot number.

  • - Open the Trace inventory dimensionform, where you can track inventory dimensions.

  • - Open the Reservationform to reserve inventory on-hand.

  • - Open the Registrationform to register inventory receipts.

  • - Open the Pickform to register and view pick inventory issues.

  • - View information on output orders.

  • - Select which inventory dimensions you want to appear in the form.

Description

Identification of the quarantine order. The number is assigned from a number sequence you define on the Number sequencestab in inventory parameters.

Identification of the item.

Select an item configuration to specify an item with specific attributes.

Note Note

If you work with purchase and sales order, you cannot change the item configuration when you have updated order transactions, such as, registration, packing slip and invoice update.


Specifies the item size.

Specifies the item color.

Enter the warehouse in which you will store your items.

Enter the batch number dimension. If you select and in the upper section of the or form, you can edit the batch number for the transfer order line.

Serial number dimension. If you select and in the upper section of the or form, you can edit the serial number for the transfer order line.

Quantity that are in quarantine or are to be placed in quarantine.

Status of quarantine order.

The following options exist:

  • - The quarantine order has been created, but the item is not yet at the quarantine warehouse.

  • - The quarantine is in effect, and the item is at the quarantine warehouse.

  • - The item has been released from quarantine, but it has not yet been moved back to the standard warehouse.

  • - The quarantine order has ended, and the item has been moved back to the standard warehouse.

Description of the quarantine order.

Date on which the item was placed in quarantine.

Identification of the item lot.

Identification of the item's dimensions.

Identification of the item's quarantine dimensions.

Quantity remaining in quarantine.

Specify the module that generated the transaction.

Order number, project number, production number, etc.

Identification of the item lot.

Identification of the department.

Identification of the cost center.

Identification of the purpose.

Location inside a warehouse. If you select and in the upper section of the or form, you can edit the location number for the transfer order line.

Unique identification (ID) for the pallet (Serial Shipping Container Code).

Enter the warehouse in which you will store your items.
