Use this form to select a bill of materials (BOM) or route in either base data or production and make a copy of it. You can define where you want to place the copy and whether you want the copy to be added to the new location or to replace existing lines in the new location.

Note Note

The following conditions apply when the multisite functionality is activated:

  • When you copy an existing BOM to a different site, the warehouse on the BOM lines is cleared. If, however, the site that you copy from and the site that you copy to are the same, the warehouse is not cleared.

  • When you copy an existing route to a different site, the work center on the route lines is cleared, and the default work centers for the route relations are also cleared.

Navigating the form

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Select and enter information in the relevant fields to copy the BOM or route from base data.

Select the item number that the BOM or route is attached to.

Select a BOM configuration if the BOM that you want to copy is configurable. If the BOM is not configurable, the field is not active.

Enter the date to use when the program searches for BOM lines to copy from. Only lines that are valid on the date that you enter are copied from.

If this field is blank, all lines are copied.

Select or specify the BOM number.

Select this option to copy the BOM or route from a selected production order.

Select the production order that the BOM or route is to be copied from.

Select or specify the BOM number.

Select this option if you want to copy the BOM or route to production.
