The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Manually create lines for the items that you want to create minimum inventory proposals for.

You can also use a batch job to create lines automatically. See the description of the button below.


General tab

View additional information about the selected item.

View item statistics that are used in calculating safety stock levels.

Dimension tab

View the inventory dimensions for the selected item.

Buttons

Description

Open a batch job, which you can use to check the journal before posting it.

Update the new minimum inventory level for the items.

View records of minimum inventory levels that were previously posted.

Delete journal lines. You can create lines using the button.

Open the form where you can select which dimensions you want to appear in the form.

Open the following submenu items:

  • – Create lines for multiple items using the batch job.

  • – Calculate a proposal for a new minimum inventory level for the item using the batch job.

Fields

Field

Description

Unique user-defined code that is assigned when items are created. We recommend that you do not use special characters or spaces in the item number.

Select an item configuration to specify an item with specific attributes.

Item size.

Item color.

Enter the warehouse where you want to store the items.

Minimum on-hand inventory for the item in inventory units. The quantity is the minimum number of items that must be in the physical inventory (safety stock). Either planned purchase orders or planned production orders are generated when the minimum on-hand inventory is reached.

Proposal for minimum on-hand inventory generated from the dialog box.

New minimum on-hand inventory level for the item. You can either choose to enter values in this field manually, or you can automatically transfer the calculated proposal value by selecting the check box in the dialog box.

Identification of the journal.

Identification of the line.

Enter a date to delimit the transactions included in the proposal.

Identification of dimensions for the item.

Cost price per unit.

Inventory value of the current minimum inventory level.

Inventory value for the new minimum inventory level.

Increase in inventory value if the new minimum is used.

Average issue quantity per month.

Standard deviation of issues per month.

Current planned order when cash flow forecasting.

Lead time in days.

If this check box is selected, days are specified according to a workday calendar.

Enter the batch number dimension. If you select and in the upper section of the / form, you can edit the batch number for the transfer order line.

Location inside a warehouse. If you select and in the upper section of the / form, you can edit the location number for the transfer order line.

Unique identification for the pallet (Serial Shipping Container Code).

Serial number dimension. If you select and in the upper section of the / form, you can edit the serial number for the transfer order line.
