Use this form to set up your Human Resources parameters. The parameters are grouped on tabs according to their overall use.

You can use Human Resources parameters to:

  • Choose between two or more different types of functionality.

  • Enter default information to be used by the system if the information has not been specified at a lower level.

  • Select number sequences for the module.

  • - Select the color to apply to open absence transactions.

  • – The sequence in which names will appear in all boxes in Human Resources. For example, first name, middle name, last name.

  • – The background formatting for all reports in Human Resources.

  • - Controls whether or not you can create absence requests for courses. The field allows you to select the absence code that the absence is assigned to.

  • Select the and that will be used when communicating with applicants.

  • Select the recruitment project to assign unsolicited employment applications to.

  • Define the length of time an application for employment can be held before it must be deleted.

The parameters and serve the following purposes:

  • Copy an employee development plan from the form to a strategic plan in . The strategic plan fills in the field with the proposal for the above-mentioned parameters.

  • Create development plan lines as actions with the as a default. Both can be changed, however, before you update the new plan. Copying allows you to use the strategic planning functions for employee development plans.

Indicate whether you want to allow employees to be enrolled in more than one fixed compensation plan, how often cumulative fields in pay records are converted before they are summed, and whether to show a warning to someone that is about to save information in a fixed or variable plan. If you are using performance management, you also can select a rating model to use instead of model assigned compensation plans when rating performance.

Define number sequences for automatic consecutive numbering of new transactions, regardless of whether the transactions are created automatically or manually.

Generate absence transactions when a course participant is confirmed in course. To do this, you must select an absence code.

Select the absence code to use to control absence registrations for confirmed course registrations.

Select a document type to use when creating Microsoft Word documents.

Select the document type to use when creating e-mail messages.

Select the recruitment project to use to collect unsolicited applications for employment.

Enter a number of units of time to define the period for which you want to store information about applicants.

In connection with the number in the field, specify whether the units of time that applications are stored is days, months or years.

This value is used, for example, to calculate the expiry date on applications received from the Internet in the application basket.

Select a default plan type for strategic plans created automatically based on employees' development plans.

Select a default action type for the actions in the strategic plans created automatically, based on employees' goals.

When the strategic plan is created, the goal lines will be created as actions of this type.

Initiate strategic planning dimension from the organization.

Select this check box to open the Outlook calendar or task list to enter details about a new appointment or task. If this check box is not selected, the task or appointment that you create is entered directly into the Outlook calendar or task list.

Select this option only if you want the selected reference to follow the number sequence specified for another reference.
