When you make changes to an employee's compensation plan, for example, in case of a promotion, you state the action.

The fixed compensation plan.

The position of the employee.

The pay rate of the employee, based on the pay frequency stated in the fixed compensation plan.

Pay frequency derived from the compensation plan.

Currency derived from the compensation plan.

When you enroll an employee in a fixed compensation plan for the first time, such as when hiring a new employee, the and fields use the effective dates from the selected position.

This is the same for promotions. However, to enter a merit increase, you must manually enter effective dates.

If the employee is enrolled in only one fixed compensation plan, the amount corresponds to the employee's pay rate. If the employee is enrolled in more than one plan, this is the accumulated amount. The amount is shown in the company currency which might be different from the currency of the fixed compensation plan.

The status of the current action entry.

Indicates if the plan is of the type , , or .

Increase amount achieved through a merit increase.

Increase percentage achieved through a merit increase.

Pay range at the level in the compensation structure that applies to the current job.

Pay increase accumulated by the plans that the employee is enrolled in. The pay increase is stated in company currency.

Pay increase percentage accumulated by the plans that the employee is enrolled in.

The pay rate expressed as an annual amount.

The pay rate expressed as a monthly amount.

The pay rate expressed as an hourly amount.

View the fixed pay rate divided by the control point. Used for graded compensation plans only.

Percentage that shows the employee's current wage level, compared to the levels set up in the compensation plan.

The range utilization is calculated as follows:

Current pay rate - minimum range in level for the plan / Maximum range in level for the plan - minimum range in level for the plan * 100
