Use this form for selecting and adding items to be assigned to a quality group. As the first step, you define the criteria for selecting items, such as selection based on the item group, buyer group, commodity code, production group, or other item attribute. The form displays a list of the selected items to be assigned to the quality group, where the list excludes items already assigned to the quality group. As the second step, you add the selected items to the quality group.

Use the form to add manually assign items to the quality group, because you cannot manually add or delete items in the list of automatically selected items.

Examples

A manufacturing company defined the quality groups that correspond to common testing requirements for purchased items and wanted a shortcut approach for assigning items to the quality groups. The company had already assigned commodity codes to purchased items, and these codes closely matched the assignment of quality groups. For each quality group, the company used the form to select and add items based on the commodity code. After items were added, the company manually maintained the list of items that were assigned to a quality group by using the form.
