Use this form to view all existing versions of the selected bill of material (BOM). You can create, approve, make BOM versions active, and enter dates for the version.

Description

Create a new BOM. You can copy an existing BOM and use it as the starting point for building the new BOM.

Open the form with which you can approve BOM versions and their underlying BOMs.

Select a BOM version and click to use this as the active BOM in the BOM Designer.

Clear a BOM version. You have to clear your last BOM version to activate a new BOM version in the BOM Designer.

Description

BOM ID number for the BOM version to be used. System-generated BOM numbers appear when BOM versions are created.

Descriptive name of the BOM version. It is specified when creating BOM versions and can be edited as needed.

Date from which the BOM version is valid. The field is used in the management of multiple BOM versions.

Last date for which the BOM version is valid.

Minimum quantity for which this BOM version is valid.

When you select this check box the current BOM version is active.

Person who approved the current BOM version. Click Approveto access the Approve version dialog box.

When checked, the current BOM version is approved. A BOM version must be approved before it is activated and used.
