Use this form to set up, edit, and view quality associations that define the transaction event for the automatic generation of a quality order, as well as to define the set of tests, the acceptable quality level (AQL), and the sampling plan for the quality order. A quality association must be defined for each variation in a business process that requires automatic generation of a quality order. The validity dates for a quality association enable you to model changes in the business process. A quality order can be automatically generated within the business processes for purchase orders, quarantine orders, sales orders, and production orders, and it can reflect quality guidelines that are specific to an item, site, vendor, customer, or work center.

Examples

A manufacturing company has quality guidelines that define the conditions when tests should be performed for each variation in the purchase receipt process. These conditions and the associated tests are defined in the form, so that a quality order will be automatically generated during the receiving process. The generation of a quality order, for example, can occur before or after the posting of a receipts list or packing slip for the received material. A quality order that requires destructive testing can only be generated after posting the packing slip for the received material, because the material must be available for destructive testing. The generation of a quality order can reflect the quality guidelines for a particular site, vendor, or type of item.
