Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tabs	Description
According to posting	When you open the form on a journal line, view only posting accounts that are not Locked in journal. When you open the form in other forms, such as Ledger posting groups or posting profile forms, view a selection of ledger accounts, according to the value that you selected for each ledger account in the selection list Validate postingin Chart of accounts .
According to account type	View all the ledger accounts, regardless of account type and locking.

Fields

Field	Description
Ledger account	Unique number that identifies a ledger account.
Name	Name of the account.
Ledger account	Enter or view account number for posting in ledger. More help…
Search name	A short name used in a fast search for an account, copied by default from the Account name.
Account name	Enter or view an account name. To search for an account by name, use Find.
Account type	Define the ledger account type. It determines how the account will be handled. More help…
