Depending on whether you want to verify Form I-9 information for the first time for an employee, or reverify it, use one of the following procedures.
Enter Form I-9 information for an employee

Click > Common Forms> , and then select an employee.

Click , and select .

Click the tab.

In the field group, enter information about the duration of the employee's right to work.
NoteIf the employee is not a citizen or national of the United States, you must also enter the date until which the employee is authorized to work and his or her resident alien or admission number.

Depending on the type of verification document that the employee provided, select either or .
NoteTo comply with Form I-9 regulations, an employee must either provide one List A document, or one from List B and List C. If you select List B, you must provide information about both List B and List C documents.

In the field, select the type of document that the employee provided.

In the field, enter the official identification number of the document.

In the field, enter the expiration date of the document.

To mark the information as verified, click , and then enter the date that the verification occurred and the employee who verified it.

If the employee required assistance to complete the original Form I-9 document, such as a translator, you can enter the name and address of this person on the tab before you click . A date is entered automatically in the field when the document is printed or marked as verified. A date is automatically entered in the field when the document is marked as verified. After you have verified the document, it cannot be printed. |
Reverify Form I-9 information for an employee

Click > Common Forms> , and then select an employee.

In the field, select the person who verified the Form I-9 information.

In the field, enter the expiration date of the document.

To mark the information as verified, click , and then enter the date that the verification occurred and the employee who verified it.
