Shop floor control contains limited functionality for applying piecework to production jobs. The feature can be used as is but can also be used as the basis for developing your own functionality.
Set up piecework

Press CTRL+N to create a new piecework setup.

In the upper pane, in the field, enter a unique identification.

In the text box, enter a description.

On the tab, you can specify:

- Determines whether the piecework is for a single employee, a group, or for all.

- The rate to be paid if the estimated number of items are produced within the estimated time. If items are produced faster than estimated, the rate will increase proportionally.

- The pay type that is the minimum to be paid. The calculated rate will also be paid on this pay type when payroll transactions are generated.

In the lower pane, you can select specific production jobs or operations to be included in the piecework.

Apply piecework to a route
Pay agreements and piecework
Piecework pay does not require any setup on pay agreements, but existing pay agreement lines for hourly pay may have to be corrected if the piecework pay replaces the hourly pay.
The field in determines how piecework pay is applied.
