Warehouse management

If you use warehouse management, you can ship directly from the shipment form and receive directly from the arrival journal.

NoteThe issue transaction for transfers can have only one financial dimension ( , , or ). This is to ensure that the transaction is appropriately valued according to financial dimensions. If a transaction has more than one financial dimension, it must be split into multiple journal lines.

Posting to general ledger

When items are transferred to a warehouse on a different site, the transaction will result in postings to general ledger. This enables sites to have different costs for the same items. Prerequisites are that the sites have been set up with different financial dimensions and that transfer accounts have been specified.
