A profile is a template for a work day and contains information about, for example, expected clock-in and clock-out.

Create profiles to cover all employees that are going to register time and attendance in shop floor control.

Create a basic profile

  1. Click > > > .

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  3. In the field, type a name for this profile.

  4. In the field, type a description for the profile.

  5. Click the tab, and in the section:

    1. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

    2. In the list, select the profile type for this profile. The choices are: , , , , , , , and .

    3. Enter beginning and ending working times in the and fields for the selected profile type.

    Continue to set up profile types to cover the entire working day, including all shifts.

    • For the profile types, you can add a tolerance before in the field.

    • For the profile types, you can add a tolerance after in the field.

    • For the profile type, you can choose a type for when a break is cancelled.

    • For all other profile types, you can enter a switch code in the field that switches the work time to a type, such as if you want to switch to .

Copy the profile day to other weekdays

The easiest way to set up the other weekdays is to copy the first weekday when you complete it, and then adjust the other days if necessary.

  1. Click and then click .

  2. Select which weekdays to copy to, select the box and click OK.

  3. Adjust other weekdays if these have to be different from the weekday you copied.

Copy an entire profile

If you have already created one or more profiles, it is often easier to copy one of these and then modify it.

  1. Click > > > .

  2. Click > .

  3. In the form, enter the name of the new profile in .

    Note Note

    If you want to overwrite an existing profile, select this profile in and then select .


  4. Click OK.

You now have an exact copy of the existing profile.

Other considerations

The above does not cover all issues. Also consider the following.

Profile days that start before midnight

Some companies have night shifts. In this case the profile day sometimes starts before midnight. If so, do the following on the tab in step 5 above, under :

  • In the field, enter a start time for the next profile day, and

  • In the drop-down list, select the minus sign ( -).

Employees with no fixed clock in or out

If certain employees have no fixed working hours, the fields and can be used to determine the standard working time in hours and the maximum of flex hours before converting into overtime.
