A measurement element automatically posts transactions to a measurement. Each active element must be included in the measurement's formula.

Note
If you manually post transactions using measurement journals, you do not need to create elements.

1. Click Balanced scorecard> Scorecard> Objectives> Measurements .

2. Select the relevant measurement and then click Elements.

3. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

4. In the Measurement elementfield, enter a unique identifier for the element.

5. To open the Element Wizardwhere you set up the element's query, click Product model wizard.

   By using the wizard, you can choose to use a predefined query, or you can select a table. The wizard also helps you set up the measurement and calculation expressions of the element.
