Use this form to create and manage row structure lines for financial statements when the form is opened from the form, and to create and manage dimension set hierarchies when it is opened from the form.

Dimension hierarchies only use the type or .


Select the check box to present the row definitions in a tree structure. You can drag basic elements to the tree structure when you design the financial statement.

When you double-click a row type in the tree structure or click the icon, the system switches between the edit mode and a list of values that you can select.

Three ways to move topics to the tree

  • Click a dimension value or ledger account in the right pane and drag it to the tree structure pane in the left side of the form.

  • Double-click a dimension value or ledger account in the right pane.

  • Select several dimension values or ledger accounts in the right pane and drag them to the tree structure pane.

Description

Create and maintain the tree structure for the selected row definition. You can either drag accounts or dimensions or use the icons on the left side. You can view the dimension set priority at the bottom of the tab.

Select the check boxes for the elements that you want to display in the row definition tree structure.

If you selected a dimension focus on the ledger account in the form, this tab lists the ledger accounts.

Select the check box to:

  • View the actual list of element values resulting from the definition.

  • View what the row definition will look like on the printed financial statement.

  • View duplicate values when the check box is selected.

Select the check box to list element value duplicates when you simulate the report by also selecting the check box.

Identification of the selected row definition.

Name of the selected row definition.

Focus for the selected row definition.

Select the check box to include an element name in the full name.

Select the check box to include an element description in the full name.

Select the check box to include the type/focus of the element in the full name.

Select the check box to include an element value/structure in the full name.

Select the check box to include an element debit/credit proposition in the full name.

Select this check box on the tab for the left pane, to include the period code in the full name. You can select the period code to display in the field on the tab for the right pane.

Select this check box to include an element layer in the full name.

Select this check box to include an element company in the full name.

Select this check box to highlight XBRL taxonomy elements.

Select this check box to calculate and show how many times the element is used in the structure. The field appears in the grid on the right pane. When you select the check box, the field is updated with the actual number.

Switch between dimensions in the set or focus. The dimension values are then displayed in a grid.

The number of times that the element is used in the row structure.

Displays one of the dimensions or ledger accounts (on )

The value of the specified dimension or ledger account. For example, stating p*, !Projmeans that departments starting with p, but not Proj, should be listed in the hierarchy. The system includes those values created in expressions automatically in the dimension hierarchy instead of dragging and dropping.

Identification of the dimension set or dimension focus.

Select the row definition from which to select a branch.

Select a certain branch of the row structure to link to.

Enter the expression components using the format #1, #2, and so on.

Specify what types of exceptions should be rendered.

Row name for the element that is the account number for ledger accounts and the dimension value name for dimension values.

Description of the element in the tree structure. If the element is a ledger account, this is the account name; if the element is a dimension value, this is the dimension value description.

Enter or view the type of the row that is selected in the left pane.

  • – Identifies element values, for example a ledger account or dimension value for each component of the row definition focus.

  • – Identifies a row type that can be used as a header for a group or subtotal, for example a header for a collection of accounts or dimension values.

  • – Identifies or refers to another row definition.

  • – Expresses a calculation that uses other rows.

  • – Produces an exception report when the financial statement is generated. The report lists the missing and/or duplicate balances in the row definition.

Select the check box if you do not want to print the element.

Select the check box if the row is a header.

Select the check box to summarize subnodes.

Select the check box to displace the content of the row when printing.

Select the check box to print subcomponents of the current element.

Select the check box to reverse the sign in balances without a negative change.

Select criteria for debit or credit transactions.

On the tab for the left pane, select the period code type to display for the dimension or ledger account.

Select the code for current, operations, or tax transactions.

Select the check box to exclude this element while looking for duplication errors.

Specify the number of the column in which the account or dimension should be printed in balances.

Select the check box to print the account or dimension in bold.

Select the check box to print the account or dimension in italic text.

Select the check box to underline the amount fields for the account or dimension when printing.
