Use this form to view the current requirement information that was calculated for an item. The form displays the following information:

  • The current item coverage settings that are used to calculate the requirement.

  • The order line that is the source of the requirement.

  • The action messages or futures messages that are generated during scheduling.

You can access and view this form from various locations:

  • After you run forecast scheduling, you can access a gross requirements profile from the planned orders.

  • After you run master scheduling, you can access a net requirements profile from the planned orders. You can also access a net requirements profile from the planned orders that are created for a particular module.

  • You can view the requirements that are calculated for a particular item.

  • You can view the requirements that are calculated from a sales order.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Overview tab

View the planned inventory transactions and the resulting projected inventory levels for the item within the defined coverage time fence. If the line carries an action message or a futures date, these are indicated by an arrow in the appropriate field.

Expand the section to track the selected transaction. The pegging line shows either the source of the requirement or the transaction that fulfills the requirement.

General tab

View detailed information about the selected line.

View detailed information about the action message.

View detailed information about the futures date.

View an overview of planned item transactions for the week. Click or to display the overview in either graphic or grid format.

View an overview of planned item transactions for the month. Click or to display the overview in either graphic or grid format.

Description

Open the to view the current coverage settings that were used to calculate the selected item requirement. This button is located only on the tab.

Open the or dialog box to update item requirements.

Open a menu with the following items:

  • - View the item component requirements for a BOM.

  • - View all related levels of requirements. These could be both lower-level item requirements and the source-level requirements.

  • - View the operations that have been set up for the route that is attached to the planned production order.

  • - View a list of the individual jobs that are associated with the planned production order.

  • - View reserved capacity for the selected planned production order.

To change the date field on the tab, select one of the following options:

Open the form to select a plan to view. If you select a master plan, the form displays net requirements. If you select a forecast plan, the form displays gross requirements.

The reference lot ID number.

Indicates whether the planned order was generated due to a purchase forecast.

The original requested delivery date.

The time that the item is required.

The quantity that is covered by the line.

The status of the covered quantity.

Indicates whether the planned order is directly derived from a BOM line.

The identification of the BOM.

The type of BOM line.

The operation number where the item is consumed.

The level of the component in the BOM structure.

The route version for the planned production order.

The suggested action to carry out for the item.

The number of days, positive or negative, that the transaction date is advanced or postponed based on the action message.

The quantity of the item by which the transaction should be increased or decreased based on the action message.
