The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

  • Create and manage an employee's bonuses in the form.

  • Record insurance information for an employee in the form.

  • Create and manage an employee's stock options in the form.

  • Record an employee's tax information in the form.

  • Enter an employee's retirement information in the form.

  • Register an employee's bank account information in the form.

Set up an employee in the form in the module to enable time registration.

Enter the name of an employee.

Note Note

If you have set up a communication type and the address is public, you will see a presence indicator next to the employee's name. Click the indicator to contact the employee or complete other Office communicator tasks.


Enter search text for an employee.

Select a user profile.

Enter an employee's highest level of education.

Enter the national ID number for the employee.

NoteIt is recommended that you set up field security for this field because it contains employee data that should not be available to all users. For information about restricting access to this field, see Manage table and field access.

Select an official title for an employee.

Enter an employee's birth date.

Select an employee type.

Enter a vendor account number if an employee is a vendor or a contactor.

Note Note

Use the (ExternalAccount) to create customers and vendors. Alphanumeric characters are enabled.


  1. Enter the length of the longest possible account number.

  2. Select between and .

Select an employee's status.

Select a calendar type for an employee.

Attach a buyer group to an employee. Buyer groups are used in the inventory to specify which buyer group (and indirectly which employee) is responsible for certain coverage planning of inventory items.

Select this check box to verify that the setup created in the form (Setup, Validation) applies for the current employee.

Note Note

By default, if an option in the form is set to or , this option is selected when a new employee is created.


Select this check box to enable incoming call detection for an employee.

Enter an employee's additional delivery address information, for example office location. The attention information is automatically transferred to the purchase requisition header and lines.

Select a site. When an employee creates a purchase requisition, the site is automatically transferred to the purchase requisition header and lines.

Select a warehouse. When an employee creates a purchase requisition, the warehouse is automatically transferred to the purchase requisition header and lines.

If multisite functionality is enabled, the combination of site and warehouse is validated.

Select the account type that the per diem transaction will be applied to.

Select the account number for the selected account.

Enter the per diem rate for the selected employee.

Select this check box to allow all users to view the selected employee's address.

Enter the street for an employee's address.

Select the ZIP/Postal Code for an employee's address.

Enter the city for an employee's address.

Select the county for an employee's address.

Select the state for an employee's address.

Select the country/region for an employee's address.

Enter unique identification for the type of communication record to enter for the selected employee.

Select if the communication record for the selected employee is or .

Enter an employee's extension.

Select this check box to use the selected e-mail address as the Office Communicator sign-in address.

Select one of the three, predefined dimensions in Microsoft Dynamics AX. Dimensions can be used throughout the program as a sorting criterion.

You can change the current definition of the three dimensions ( , , and ) in the database. You can also increase or reduce the number of dimensions. However, to guarantee uniform tracking functionality, decide how you will use dimensions before you start working with them in the program.

Enter the number of days back that you want to synchronize between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Outlook.

Enter the number of days forward that you want to synchronize between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Outlook.

Select this check box to synchronize private appointments between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Outlook.

Select this check box to synchronize private tasks between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Outlook.

Select this check box to synchronize recurring appointments between Microsoft Dynamics AX and Outlook.

View an employee's Outlook contact folder name.

View an employee's Outlook task folder name.

Define when a reminder starts, in number of minutes before an activity. Clear the field if you do not want to use reminders.

Enter a default starting time for an employee's activities.

Specify the first name of a contact.

Specify the middle name of a contact.

Specify the last name of a contact.

Specify the type of employee. For example, a contractor.

For a contractor you can enter the ID of the vendor where the person is employed.

Enter an employee's vacation pay amount.

Enter the number of vacation days an employee is eligible for.

Select this check box if an employee is eligible for paid vacation days.

Select this check box if an employee is eligible for additional paid vacation days.

Select this check box if an employee is eligible for personal days.

Select an absence for an employee.

Enter the starting date of an employee's absence.

Number of people who are financially dependent on the employee.

The start date for the employee.

The adjusted start date for the employee.

The last date that the employee worked.

Last date where the employment is valid.

Select an employee's termination unit.

Enter an employee's termination notice.

Select the employer's termination unit.

Enter the employer's termination notice.

Select the reason for termination.

Enter an employee's seniority date.

Enter the date of an employee's trial period expiration.

Enter the number of hours worked on Monday.

Enter the number of hours worked on Tuesday.

This field sums up the hours listed the fields above it.

Date from when the employment information is valid.

Date until when the employment information is valid.

Select this check box to integrate the information about the selected employee into Microsoft Office Project.
