Use this form to make an inventory count. When you post this type of journal, an inventory receipt or issue is posted, the inventory level and value are changed, and ledger transactions are generated. At a minimum, you must specify the following:

  • Date of the transaction

  • Item number

  • Quantity counted

If you are using configurations of the item, you must also specify those. For more information, see Item configuration (form).

You must also enter the dimension that you set up as the primary inventory dimension in the form for the item. There, you also choose whether to allow editing in the dimension in the journal.
