Use this form to prepare a report about historical variances for items with a standard cost inventory model. The historical variances indicate the potential need to update an item's standard cost, and the report displays a suggestion for the new standard cost. A report parameter for period frequency indicates whether activity should be summarized for the entire period, or grouped into periods, such as monthly or quarterly. The period size can provide information about trends in variances. You can selectively report information that is based on selection criteria, such as the item number, item group, or item type.
