Use this procedure to create purchase requisitions and submit them to Workflow.

Note Note

You can also create purchase requisitions on behalf of another user, if this type of relationship is defined between the users in the form ( > > > ). If you create purchase requisitions on behalf of another user, that user's settings – such as spending limits and approvers – are used for the purchase requisition.


  1. Click > Common Forms> .

  2. In the upper pane, press CTRL+N to create a new purchase requisition. The form opens.

  3. In the field, type a name for the purchase requisition.

  4. To create a purchase requisition on behalf of another user, select the check box and select that user in the field.

  5. In the field, specify the date when you want to receive the items.

  6. Click OKto create the purchase requisition. The information is transferred to the purchase requisition header.

  7. In the lower pane of the form, press CTRL+N to add items to the purchase requisition or click .

  8. In the form, select items for the purchase requisition.

    • Click the tab to select a catalog item. Select an item from the list or use the search functionality to find an item, and then click to include it in the list of items to be added to the purchase requisition.

    • Click the tab to add a non-catalog item. Type a description of the item in the field and assign a category to it in the field. Enter information about the vendor, price, currency, unit, Internet address, and external item, and click to include it in the list of items to be added to the purchase requisition.

  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 to add more items.

  10. Click to add the items to the purchase requisition.

  11. In the form, click the tab to type a business justification for the purchase requisition.

  12. In the lower pane, select an item to verify or edit information about the line. For example, to specify a required date for a specific item, you can click the tab and change the date in the field.

    You also can attach documents to purchase requisitions. Click the Document handlingicon on the toolbar to attach documents. For more information, see Document handling (form).


  13. Click to submit the purchase requisition to Workflow.

    The status of the purchase requisition changes from to . You can no longer make changes unless you first recall the purchase requisition. Click > to recall the purchase requisition from Workflow. The status changes to .
