Fields

Description

The Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA number) for the return order. The RMA number is generated automatically when a return order is created.

Select a reason code for the return order. When you open the list, Microsoft Dynamics AX displays three tabs. You can make a selection either on the tab, which will show only the codes assigned to it on the tab, or on the tab.

View or change the date by which the customer must return the item.

View the ID of the original sales order that is associated with this return order.

View or change the currency associated with the original sales order.

Select the name of a customer representative to be contacted about this return.

Enter an e-mail address to be used when contacting the customer about this return.

The date and time that the return order was created.

The status of this return order.

The customer's reference number for this transaction.

The purchase order number from the customer's accounting system.

The order number of the replacement order for this return item, if one is available.

Indicates that a replacement order was created before the item being returned was received.

Select the employee ID of the person receiving the return shipment.

Select the language that is used in item names and for printing external journals.

Select the ID of the warehouse where the return order is being processed.

Important Important

If you set the location for an individual item to a different warehouse than is specified in the header, the receiving location might not see the order details in the form if it is filtering by warehouse.


Automatically selected when is selected. Indicates that an intercompany order will be created automatically when you close the return order.

Select the check box to have an intercompany order returned directly to the partner company (provided that it has an account in your Microsoft Dynamics AX setup) and to have the delivery information automatically synchronized to the intercompany order.

Indicates whether the line was created manually or indirectly as part of an intercompany chain.

Indicates that an indirect order line can be created when the original sales order is a direct delivery (selected automatically when you select the check box).

View or edit the description of the selected return order line.

Enter the customer item number.

The date and time that the return order line was created.

The status of the return order.

The expected arrival date of the return shipment.

The date the return shipment arrived.

The date the returned item's transaction was closed.

The lot ID for items being returned.

The cost price per unit of the returned item.

Assign a disposition code to the return item to indicate what should be done with the item.

Select the check box to indicate that the lot should be classified as "On Order."

The number of units expected to be included in the return order shipment.

The actual number of units included in the return order shipment.

Select the type of reference ID that you will enter in the field.

The number of the purchase order, project ID, production lot, or other identifier related to this transaction.

The lot ID of items related to this transaction.
