Use this form to report all or a part of a production as finished. This allows for the items that are reported as finished to be available in inventory and frees work centers to be scheduled for other production tasks. You automatically receive information about the quantity of items produced, the number of units in error, and the cause of the errors.

You can change a production to a status using this form. You also can report an order as finished using the production journal . The journal can be used to update several productions at the same time by checking and posting them at the same time.

If a production has not been through the update steps in the production life cycle, the program does an automatic update. These updates include the following:

Enter the production order number that you want to report as finished. You can enter any existing production that is not cost-accounted. You can also use the button to filter for a production order number.

If you access the form from the form, the field is automatically populated with the selected production order.

Select an item configuration to specify an item with specific attributes.

Enter the warehouse where you store your items.

Enter the number of good items to be reported as finished for the current production order. The number of defective items is entered separately.

Enter the number of defective items to be reported as finished for the current production order.

If you entered defective items in the field, you can specify a cause of error.

Select the check box to indicate that this is an end job, and that no additional reporting-as-finished is expected for the production. This deletes excess inventory transactions with an On orderor Orderedstatus. The status of the production order changes to Reported as finished, and you cannot cost-estimate, schedule, release, or start the production order. If you leave the field blank, you can still run the updates discussed here for the production order.

The item identification. Item numbers can be generated by the system by linking the item number to a Number sequences (form).

Enter the date to report the production as finished. The default is the system date, but you can change it. The date is used as the posting date for route transactions and inventory transactions.

Select the beginning operation number to report as finished. If you leave the field blank and only specify a , any previous operations are also included.

Select the ending operation number to report as finished. If you leave the field blank and only specify a , any successive operations are also included.

Select the check box to report the production order as finished. You can specify a and . If both fields are blank, this field is selected by default.

Select the route card journal.

Specify how the route's time consumption is handled. Time consumption is recorded when you post to the ledger. The options are:

  • - Consumption is entered according to the route-group operation settings for the route. If automatic consumption of setup and process time, and automatic reporting of the finished quantity are selected for the attached route group, then consumption is entered automatically.

  • - Consumption is entered automatically, regardless of settings.

  • - Route consumption is entered when production is reported as finished or manually recorded through the route card journal or job card journal.

Select the check box to create the route card journal with the operations that are marked as completed.

Note Note

The route card journal is created regardless of the automatic route consumption setting.

Select the journal to use for recording material consumption from the picking list. You can select from all existing journals. For more information about journals, see Journal name, Production (form). The quantity that is picked depends on the setting in the field.

Select this field to activate automatic consumption. The program then posts the picking list for the consumed materials. The options are:

  • : Automatically register consumption according to the setting of the field on the BOM line.

  • : Always register automatic consumption.

  • : Do not register automatic consumption.

Note Note

This setting overrides the same field on the form.

Select the check box to create the picking list journal with lines that are end-marked. This means no additional material consumption is expected to be posted for the production order.

Select the journal to use to report items as finished. The finished item that is added to inventory is posted through the journal. You can select any existing journal. For more information about journals, see Journal name, Production (form).

This field controls a feature that checks your update data and warns you of any inconsistencies. If there are inconsistencies, an error log is displayed, and the report as finished update is canceled. The program checks the following:

  • The quantity that is reported as finished must be less than the quantity that is started on the production order.

  • The individual operations in the production route must be reported as finished.

  • All estimated raw-materials consumption must be delivered.

  • The quantity that is reported as finished for the production must equal the quantity that is reported as finished for the last operation in the route.

Note Note

The error log is displayed for the first report-as-finished update only.

Leave the field blank to receive the error log.

Select the check box if you do not want to receive the error log.

Select the check box to receive a message that displays the result of the journal update.
