To automate payment of salaries to employees, the following actions must take place:

  • Issuing salary payments and mid-period payments in cash and via bank transfer payment.

  • Creating corresponding accounting documents, such as pay sheets and cash disbursement slips.

  • Payroll deposition.

  • Payment of deposits.

You can use the Salary payment setupform to set up payments in cash and via bank.

  1. Click Staff accounting> Salary payment> Setup> Setupto open the Salary payment setupform.

  2. In the Namefield, select the journal to register cash payment slips.

  3. In the Cashfield, select the cash account from which payments are made.

  4. Select the Automaticcheck box to post the cash transaction automatically to General ledger.

  5. In the Dimension - cashfield group, select the dimensions for cash transactions in the Department, Cost center, and Purposefields.

  6. Click the Banktab.

  7. In the Namefield, select the name of the bank transaction journal.

    Note Note

    You can select the journals of type Dailyin this field.


  8. Select the Automaticcheck box to post the bank transaction automatically to the General ledger.

  9. In the Account typefield, select the account type for salary payments to employees.

  10. In the Accountfield, select the account corresponding to the account type.

  11. In the Dimension - bankfield group, select the dimensions for cash transactions in the Department, Cost center, and Purposefields.

  12. Click the Deposittab.

    Note Note

    In the Corr. Account for depositfield group, the account type is displayed as Ledgerin the Account typefield to show the company's liabilities to an employee.


  13. In the Accountfield, select the account corresponding to the account type.

  14. In the Dimension - depositorfield group, select the dimension codes in the Department, Cost center, and Purposefields.

  15. In the Pay typefield, select the pay type code to record the amount that is deposited.

    Note Note

    In the Against profitfield group, the account type is displayed as Ledgerin the Account typefield to write off against profit on maturity of the deposited amount.


  16. In the Accountfield, select the account corresponding to the account type.

  17. Press CTRL+S or close the form.
