Use this form to define basic sales order information, such as order type, order number, customer account, invoice account, customer group, and currency.

Select if this is a new customer whom you do not expect to receive any more orders from. In this case, a new customer is created. View a list of all existing customers. Base data is retrieved from the customer table and sales statistics are updated according to the customer account. New customers are created in the Customers (form)form. |

The address to which the ordered goods will be delivered. To use an alternative delivery address, click and then from the sales order header, and then transfer the relevant delivery address. |

Invoice account is used if the account number of the customer that you want to invoice is different from that of the customer who placed the sales order. The invoice account is retrieved from the field in the form if that field is filled in. Alternatively, the customer account is set as the default account, but you can change the proposed account. Item statistics are updated for the vendor, and the invoice account is credited with the invoice amount. |

Unique field that is used to identify a sales order; it must be specified when you create a sales order. The sales order number is automatically generated if it is specified in sales-order number sequence. Number sequences can be defined on the tab in the form. For more information, see Number sequences (form).

The currency code attached to the customer, which is copied automatically when the sales order is created. The currency code is mandatory, and you cannot change it after a sales order line is entered. Only one currency is possible per purchase order. Select the currency by clicking the square arrow. When the invoice for the current order is updated, the invoice balance is posted in both the selected currency and local currency. The exchange rates at posting and payment are compared, and the difference, if any, is posted automatically. For more information, see in the customer table. |

Mode of delivery according to the means of transport for the current order; for example, ship, train, or plane. The mode of delivery must exist in the Modes of delivery (form). The mode of delivery provides useful information when packing slips are printed by mode of delivery. |

The site to ship the ordered items from. The site specified here is the default site specified for the customer and transferred to the sales order header. |

The warehouse that the ordered goods will be taken from. The warehouse specified here is automatically transferred to each sales order line unless you made the warehouse mandatory for the ordered item in the form > > form or form (if multisite is activated).. |

Select for automatic calculation of possible ship and receipt dates. |

Select to use the requested receipt date and requested ship date you entered as the order confirmation dates. |

Displays the time zone of the shipping location. If multi-site functionality is activated, the site time zone is displayed, otherwise the company time zone is displayed. |

Any purchase order number provided by the customer can be entered here. The purchase order number is printed on packing slips and invoices. You can print the customer reference on order confirmations, quotations, packing slips, and invoices, or you can use it as criteria for limiting queries and print jobs. For more information, see . Additionally, if you create a sales order with the delivery type , you can have the customer requisition and customer reference transferred to the purchase order by selecting the check box on the tab in the form. The name of the customer to whom the ordered goods will be delivered. You can set up one or more delivery names and addresses in Alternative addresses (form). |

Apply one of the available delivery terms to this sales order. |

Enter the account number of the delivery carrier associated with the delivery terms selected in the list. |

The employee who received or entered the order. The employee must be set up in the Employee table. Select an employee from the drop-down list. |

Group your sales orders in pools for filtering and selection purposes. Enter a pool that exists in the Order pools table. |

The language that you want to print sales order documents in. All texts printed on the documents, such as items texts and terms of payment, must be manually translated into the specified language. |

Default code for sales origin, copied from Sales parameters. You can change the code at any time, but a message is displayed if the sales order is fully invoiced. |
