You can calculate numerous types of salary accruals using the average earnings method. These can include per diem expenses, travel allowances, gifts, annual bonuses, vacations, and sick-lists.

Different average earnings accrual types are calculated using different methods. You can set up the average-earnings method so that the average-earnings lines for a configured calculation method can be used in calculations. You can use this form to calculate the average earnings of an employee.

Functions

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Recalculation– Recalculate an employee's average earnings. If the lines or the values in the Hours/daysor Amountfields are added to or deleted from the average-earnings calculation log, these changes are not saved when recalculating.

  • Hours worked accounting– Open the Resulting information about employee worked hoursform to view the hours worked by an employee over a specific calculation period.

  • Bonus– Open the Bonusform to view any bonuses included when calculating an employee's average earnings.

  • Payroll lines– Open the Pay type transaction listform to view all of the employee's accruals over a specific calculation period.

Description

Reporting period

Select the reporting period for which the average earnings of an employee are to be calculated.

Note Note

By default, the current reporting period is displayed.


Calculation method code

Select a previously configured average-earnings calculation method code.

Name

The name of the selected average-earnings calculation method.

Employee

Select the employee for whom the average earnings are to be calculated.

Employee name

The full name of the employee.

Number of month

Select a previously configured rate that contains the number of months in the average-earnings calculation period.

Working week duration

Select the work week duration from the following options:

  • 5 days

  • 6 days

  • 7 days

Calculation type

Specify whether average daily or average hourly earnings are to be calculated:

  • by days

  • by hours

Note Note

If you use the short-month calendar calculation method, the calculation type must be by days.


Average earnings

The average daily or hourly earnings, based on the calculation type.

Calculation method of short month

If the employee did not work for the full calculation period, select the calculation method for hours worked:

  • Summary– The number of days or hours worked is calculated using resulting information about the employee days or hours worked for the month; the days or hours available for work according to the schedule minus the days or hours absent.

  • Calendar– The number of days worked is calculated using the daily time sheet and calendar details; the days according to schedule minus the days absent.

  • By coefficient– The number of days or hours worked is calculated using the resulting information from the number of employee days or hours worked for the month, the actual time worked considering the conversion factor set for the employee's calendar, and the working week duration.

Calculation method of full month

Select the average-earnings calculation method if the employee worked for the entire calculation period:

  • According to calendar– The number of calculation days in the calculation period.

  • Average value– The average number of days per month.

Base of calculation

Select the average-earnings calculation base. The base includes pay types that are used in the average-earnings calculation.

Average earned base

Select the calculation base that includes the average-earnings payment types.

Note Note

If no accruals from previous calculation periods are included in the Base of calculation, the average earnings are calculated using the accruals calculated for the average earnings.


Step-up ratio

Select the rate that contains the ratio for indexing the average-earnings during the calculation period.

According to schedule

Select a previously configured time group defining the time worked according to schedule.

Actually worked

Select a previously configured time group code that defines the time actually worked.

You can edit this field only when you select the Calculation method of short monthas By coefficient.


Absences from work

Select a previously configured time group that defines an acceptable reason from absence from work.

Note Note

You can edit this field only when you select the Calculation method of short monthas Summaryor Calendar.


On average

Select a previously configured time group that defines the time during which the accruals entered in the Average earned basefield were made.

Bonus base

Select a calculation base that includes pay types corresponding to any awards made for the period from the material incentives fund.

Criteria of bonus accounting

Select the criteria to specify the bonus accounting rules in the average-earnings calculation:

  • Maximal

  • Minimal

  • First

  • Last

Note Note

If the number of bonuses exceeds that allowed for the average-earnings calculation, a single bonus is selected for the period, depending on the selected criteria. One-twelfth of the bonus for the year prior to the event is included in each month entered in the average-earnings calculation.


Proportional calculation

Select this check box to specify that bonuses are included in the average-earnings calculation in proportion to the hours worked.

Calculation period

The year and month of payroll calculation.

Payment source

The payment source of accrual amounts when calculating the average earnings of an employee:

  • Wage fund

  • Health fund

Hours

The number of working hours included in the average-earnings calculation.

Days

The number of working days included in the average-earnings calculation.

Amount

The amount of accruals included in the average-earnings calculation.

Average per hour

The calculated average hourly earnings.

Average per day

The calculated average daily salary.

Average hourly payment from Wage fund

The average hourly payment calculated from the wage fund.

This field is available only if you select the value of Calculation typeas by hours.


Average hourly payment from Health fund

The average hourly payment calculated from the material incentives fund.

Note Note

This field is available only if you select the value of Calculation typeas by hours.


Average daily payment from Wage fund

The average daily payment calculated from the wage fund.

This field is available only if you select the value of Calculation typeas by days.


Average daily payment from health fund

The average daily payment calculated from the material incentives fund.

Average earnings

The average earnings of the employee.
